Grants

Through its grants program, USAID ATP and E-ATP provide financial and technical assistance, institutional capacity building, and training in trade data collection, processing and management.  These grants are awarded to private sector organizations operating within our six value chains, and along our selected trade corridors.

 Eligible beneficiaries of USAID ATP and E-ATP grants must propose activities/initiatives that directly contribute to the increase in value and volume of intra-regional trade and that operate along the identified value chains and trade corridors.

Eligible beneficiaries include:
•    Regional/national producer organizations
•    Trader associations
•    Farmer cooperatives
•    Consumer associations
•    Market information organizations
•    Research organizations
•    Regional private sector umbrella organizations
•    Commodity-specific  regional organizations and their national member associations in selected countries (Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire , Ghana,  Mali, Nigeria, Senegal, and Togo)
•    Regional and national transport associations/unions
•    Importers/exporters operating along the value chain commodities
•    Private sector investors who may invest in public-private partnerships and Global Development Alliances to impact the USAID ATP and E-ATP projectsCivil society organizations, advocacy groups, selected NGOs or pressure groups that can lobby for change along key transport corridors.

Government-owned organizations are not eligible for USAID ATP and E-ATP grant awards.
